Small Animal Practice

 

 

At the Capontree Veterinary Centre we have a state of the art treatment centre for all domestic and small farm animals.

When you choose us to look after your animals you can rest assured that they'll receive a caring and expert service from the moment they arrive.

 

All consultations are by appointment, both to ensure you are not kept waiting, and that we have enough time dedicated to your pet to conduct a thorough examination.
 
Our surgeries employ a total of 25 staff including 11 fully qualified vets and veterinary nurses who all have special areas of interest. Within the practice we have vets interested in everything from orthopaedics to oncology. 

 

Our Brampton and Longtown Practice's are fully equipped with flexible endoscopes, x-rays, ultrasonic scanners, a dedicated dental theatreand a full compliment of surgical equipment which keeps us up to date with the latest developments in verterinary technology and assists us in treating all from cancer therapy through to orthopaedic surgery. 

 

Our most recent addition is an anesthetic monitor which provides us with continious feedback,  ECG reports, expired gases and body temperature.  This has proved to be most useful especially with critically ill patients. 

 

Our laboratory includes an automatic analyser, which can give us blood results within 30 minutes of the sample being collected, allowing prompt effective treatment. We also have an automatic x-ray developer, giving us high quality plates within minutes.  Our Practice also has full isolation facilities.

 

Once surgery is over, your pet will be cared for on the premises until he or she is well enough to return home, and will remain in the care of one of our vets until recovery is complete. 

 

We offer a full 24 hour emergency service with a veterinary nurse in attendance day and night, along with a duty vet available around the clock.
